Current New for 2010
April 11, 2010
Wow it is already April I can not believe it. Our daughter Emma is going to be seven months old this month it does not seem possible. Anyway things have been just wonderful here we have two gorgeous babies (no spots LOL). Would you believe they were born the same day? Yep about five hours apart. Talk about your timing. Mike and I had gone to the store to get a camera for the barn the night before and it did not work, so we had to take it back in the morning. We had checked the mares that night but nothing was happening they both had big globs of wax. It was so funny because we would try to sneak in the barn and see what was going on and they would both be standing there watching the door waiting for us. So we got up at about 6 a.m. and went out to the barn and there was Katie's filly a gorgeous red Dunn what legs this baby had it was unbelievable. After we took care of little Luna we got dressed and ran to town to exchange the camera. When we got back everything was fine in the barn no signs that Mia was going to foal at all (she is a maiden mare so you never know) I was in the house and Mike was setting up the camera in the barn he had the camera on Mia and I saw her lay down, then her tail went up and OH MY GOSH there she goes. I screamed at Mike and he said yep she is in labor. I have to say I was really scared because she is my baby I love this mare. She had some trouble but some very good friends of ours helped us out and Mike had to get in there and help a little but everything was OK in the end. This one was a colt with looooong legs he had a heck of a time standing up with those stilts he had under him. We named him Murray, he is my daughters favorite Sesame Street character. Well thats about it we are getting ready to re-breed our mares for next year hopefully everything will go well. Mia will be bred back to Awesome Easter Breeze and Katie will be bred to APHA/AQHA stallion Exceptional Look you can see him at www.doublelacres.com . I will update soon See ya.

Well I know it has been a long time since I have posted and a lot has happened. First of all Mike and I have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl. She was born on September 24, 2009 her name is Emma Sue Harman. She is now five months old and she keeps us pretty busy so that is why I have not been updating our website.
Lets see some things that have happened here at the farm are: We sold our DC Precision filly to Barb and Randy Ruhlman of Texas. We lost one of our shelties in December he was 13 years old we will miss you Tyler. We bred our two broodmares to a really nice stallion that belongs to a very good friend of ours Dorance and Carol Dubet. He is out of the World Champion Mighty Awesome. The babies are due this month one on the 17th and one on the 22nd (Crazy I know just happened that way LOL) They are eligible for the Illinois, Midwest, and Iowa Futurities. We plan on showing them if some one doesn't buy them first. So be sure to check back soon I promise I will keep up on news here at the farm. See you soon.
